Crypto4A sets itself apart from competitors in a belief in simplified, predictable, and transparent hardware security module pricing for our customers. When making an important purchase such as a HSM it is extremely important to understand that all required features, functionality, and ancillary equipment required now and in the future have been included in the price for a transparent view of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Crypto4A believes that support for all current and future cryptographic algorithms, such as Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), should be provided as part of the standard product at no additional cost to our customers. We also believe that our customers should benefit from our investment into the latest technologies, features, and innovations as standard capabilities included in our Features, Maintenance & Support (F,M&S) contracts. This ensures that the purchase of Crypto4A products comes with the benefit of a future proof platform that can serve our customers today and in the future regardless of unforeseen requirements that may arise during the lifecycle of an HSM.

Unlimited partitions at no additional cost

All Crypto4A HSM products come standard with unlimited partitions (*limited only by physical internal storage capacity), client licenses, and access to all features built into the platform at no additional cost to our customers. This includes all standard software, hardware and client licences for key management, connectivity, clustering, network application micro segmentation, remote management, and access to the Platform Development Kit (PDK) with included HSM emulator for testing and lab purposes. The QxHSM does not require specialized remote access hardware devices, such as a Pin Entry Device (PED), or backup HSM. Included with every HSM product are the hardware accessories required to deploy in a customer’s environment such as rails and mounting hardware for standard 19″ network equipment, and 2 standard North American power cords.

Cryptographic algorithms and standards change and evolve over time. Especially now as we begin the transition to Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC). Crypto4A HSM products support all current algorithms and standards to meet customer requirements today but also provide support for NIST PQC Algorithms today and in the future. Crypto4A HSM already supports the existing PQC standard algorithms LMS and XMSS as well as the current pre-standard round 3 Candidates. We will provide the final implementations of these new algorithms as they become standardized, via firmware updates which are themselves Quantum-Safe, thanks to our use of ECDSA and LMS as our NIST compliant and Quantum-Safe signature algorithm. This important feature of our HSM will help our customers avoid costly “forklift” updates for their HSM and ease their PQC transition at no additional cost when under current F,M&S contract.
